En el artículo se contextualiza la creación inicial, recepción y texto final del Amadís de Gaula de Rodríguez de Montalvo (1495-1496) desde la perspectiva de la curialitas. El léxico de la cortesía servirá de punto de partida para analizar sus características y evolución.
