Abstract

Developmental dyslexia in child psychiatry: diagnosis and intervention: Approximately 5% of schoolchildren suffer of developmental dylexia. Consequently, even if dyslexia is not the main motive of consultation in child psychiatry, child psychiatrist is involved because many patients referred at first for another disorder may also present developmental dyslexia. First, we precise the exact definition of the condition. Secondly, the different types of dyslexia are described. Then, the intervention possibilities are detailed, with the new light of the different administrative texts which occurred in France these last few years.
