Abstract

One the most dangerous pathogenic agents that affect the melons is the fungus Pseudoperonospora cubensis wich produces the cucurbitaceae manna. The pathogenic agent appears every year with various intensities and rates, first of all depending on the climatic factors. In the view on decreasing the damage brought about by this pathogenic agent, the factor wich encourage the appearance and development of its attack have been reaserched. A special attention was given especially to the best moment of the first treatment application, wich is the most important of all. Folowing the research of dynamics of the manna attack appearance in 2002, 2003 (droughty years) and 2004, 2005 (rainy yeras), results with an oustanding pratical importance for the melon cultivators were obtained. For gathering and processing of ,,AGROEXPERT’’ System within the Phytosanitary Unit from Braila was used.
