Abstract

The perception of the urban landscape does not only benefit the knowledge of the city’s heritage, nor can it be limited to certain selected urban spaces, but depends on a composite representation of the city’s culture and is such a representation that is perceived and recorded in the memory of the visitors. In Malaga, the industrial heritage is particularly fragile, scattered and fragmented, and preserving the memory of the places, which conveys the industrial past of the city today has become difficult. The way to regenerate this perception in the consciousness of the city community is based on the discovery, interpretation and communication of the cultural message transmit ted by the surviving architectures. In fact, if appropriately presented, they contribute extensively to the construction of a true and holistic image of the city of Malaga.
