Abstract
This article attempts to rebuild the extension of the Vice-royalty of Peru with jurisdiction from Panama to Tierra del Fuego, from its own organizational standpoint regarding its defense, which allowed it to achieve a certain degree of autonomy for decision making, supported by the management of the Real Hacienda, the Jesuit missions, and the permissiveness of commercial transactions.
