Abstract
Jose Luis Gimenez ˗ Frontin collaborated on the evening newspaper Tele|eXpres since 1969 and reached its participation in practically a decade. For five years he led the ‟Suplemento literarioˮ on Wednesdays, with Jose Maria Carandell and Robert Saladrigas. His role as a columnist left more than two hundred contributions with a style that goes beyond the review that comments new publications. The aim of this article is to give an account of the works roughly organized chronologically outlined considering genre distribution. Thus, trying to discern the outlines of the author’s thought in terms of his reading and his critical contributions in this medium.

Semblanza y toma de conciencia José Luis GiménezFrontín (Barcelona, 1943˗2008) representó una importante con tribución a la cultura barcelonesa durante cuarenta años de activismo cultural, desde todo lo relacionado con la escriturala propia y la de los demásal fomento divulga tivo del arte. Habría que diferenciar la crítica en las revistas como ensayo y la de los pe riódicos como información para poder hablar sobre una base concreta.
