TELEVISION CRIT1CISM IN L 'HUMANITÉ IN 1977 : NEW FORMULA, NEW ATTITUDE ?, by GIL DELANNOI and PIERRE MORILLON The change in formula of l'Humanité in February 1977 was marked, among other editing modifications, by the appearance of a page devoted entirely to television. The contents of this « TV page », analysed in February and November 1977, constitute a break with the previous period and show a pronounced change between the beginning and the end of the year. The communist daily's attitude towards television is more open as to programme content, less critical with respect to the institution and the men who run it and, lastly, more pedagogic than polemical.
