Abstract
El objetivo de esta investigación es conocer si existen menores que están creciendo solos ante las pantallas y si esta orfandad digital se vincula con la variable de la edad de los menores. Se realizó una encuesta a 776 padres con hijos de entre 5 y 17 años. Los resultados muestran que los padres que más confían en las TIC son los que están criando a los huérfanos digitales. Les dejan conectase sin supervisión y durante más tiempo. Asimismo, la percepción del riesgo de los padres cuando sus hijos están conectados, hace que ejerzan mayor mediación en edades más tempranas.
