Abstract

This article aims at tracing back the genesis and development of the Christian ritual of Easter as reflected in the liturgy of the Early Church. The research is carried out through the information provided by Asian and pseudo-Chrysostomian homilies of the 2nd and 4th centuries which reveal the twofold problematics entailed by the catechetical consequences of the theological interpretation of the mystery and by the embodiment of the corresponding didactics into Easter liturgy
