Abstract
The article uses the ethnography of and in singular public spaces in the city of Barcelona (Spain): three jardins dinterior dilla (gardens in block interiors) located in the Eixample district, with the intent to analyse the relationships between living space, perceived space, and conceived space. These three factors compose the analytic triad proposed by Henri Lefevre in his classic work La production de lespace (1974), which is adopted and acclaimed as a theoretical basis to study urban spaces. Furthermore, to investigate urban spaces through public spaces is also considered a theoretical approach that gives prominence to the common territories of city users because these are the most exemplary elements and therefore are significant from an anthropological viewpoint.
