Abstract
This article focuses on the recovery of the historical legacy of the music chapel at the the church of Talavera de la Reina (Toledo), a subject that until now had not been studied by Spanish musicology. To understand better the role played by sacred music in Talavera, we’ll take in account the composition of its music chapel, the liturgic organization of the religious festivities and the functions of the different members of the music chapel, such as the chapel master, the organist, the boys choir or the minstrels.

Este artículo se centra en la recuperación del legado histórico de la capilla musical de la Colegiata de Talavera de la Reina (Toledo), una temática que hasta el momento no había sido objeto de estudio por la musicología española. Para una mejor comprensión del papel ejercido por la música sacra en Talavera, se tendrá en cuenta la composición de su capilla musical, la organización litúrgica de las festividades religiosas con intervención musical así como las funciones de los diferentes estamentos musicales de la capilla (Maestro de capilla, Organista, cantores, mozos de coro o los instrumentistas).
