Abstract

This article aims to reflect on the need to incorporate the gender approach in the field of Social Work. The achievement of real and effective equality of women and men requires a firm commitment from society, and should be an unavoidable goal in Social Work. The lack of gender equality training, the gender blindness and the invisibilization of women, are some limiting factors for the application of a gender perspective in Social Work.
