Abstract

Measurements of exhaust plume rise from a gas turbine and three compressor engines were made and the observed results were compared with predicted plume heights from existing plume rise models. Alternative plume rise models were developed based on the observed data for use in estimating gas turbine and compressor engine plume rise. The present study was designed to determine the most accurate and suitable plume rise model or models to be used with gas turbines and reciprocating engines used in the gas transmission industry. Zip file contains field test data and test protocol.
