Abstract
The L3 central tracking system at LEP consists of a high resolution drift chamber (time expansion chamber) and two outer layers of cylindrical proportional chambers (Z-chamber) with a single layer of plastic scintillation fibers in between for calibration purpose. A short description of the system is presented.
