Abstract

For long, in the territories occupied by Israel the characteristics of Israeli occupation and the ideological choice of the Islamist leaders has prohibited the emergence of a «political Islam». In the 1980s, political Islam can be interpreted as transposition of the dynamic of armed struggle of the nationalist era to the Islamist movement. This article is a historical survey ofhow different representatives of Palestinian issue have been stigmatised as «good» or «bad». It shows that a political peace agreement which don’t take into account the social and economical needs of Palestinian population will create problems for Palestinian leaders towards their population. More over, it points out that in the long run, resolving the «Palestinian problem» has to consider an agreement between the Palestinian authorities and the Islamists. It is the only way to guaranty the security Israel asked for.
