Abstract

In France, the amount of direct aid amounts, on average 2019, to 30,700 euros per farm, or 340 euros per hectare of useful agricultural area (UAA) and 74% of farmers' income. Replacing the current modalities for the allocation of direct CAP aids with direct aids for family and salaried agricultural jobs would have major economic implications. If the implementation of an identical aid per agricultural worker does not seem opportune either at the EU level or at the level of a Member State, a redistribution of direct aid that takes more account of jobs is nevertheless desirable.
