Abstract
Since two decades, french psychiatric mother–baby units are specialized in early relationship disturbances care. Why these units couldn’t be able to assume some expert missions for specific circumstances? This could be suitable for particular psychiatric conditions, especially when severe mothers’ psychic troubles prevent them from adapting their children’s development needs: precised clinical data could then be collected to facilitate judicial decision. Furthermore such an organization would permit to clarify the status of many hospitalizations, which are in fact disguised evaluation requests…
