Abstract

- The author defines and describes the French context in which family education is considered a specific field of research and of methodological and epistemological innovation. He underlines the role played by the analysis of educational processes in the family in order to understand the problems of children in distress and to assist them. Finally, the analysis of the socio-educational interventions highlights the strong connections existing between research topics and social policies.
