Abstract

The argumentative process in the analysed corpus starts from contradictory answers to common questions. The confrontation is based on the divergence of points of view, on the rejection and the attack of the other’s arguments. The conclusion will be drawn by the ultimate recipients of the message. The audience has a horizon of expectations and a certain cultural experience, to which the personal experience of each viewer is added. Consequently, the argument in the televised message will receive a plurality of readings. The goal of each participant, through the used argumentative strategies, is to make the public support his/her thesis.
