Abstract

Wrist and hand cysts are a frequent motive of rheumatologic referral and are the most frequent soft tumors of the hand. Clinical diagnosis is simple with three principal etiologies: mucous and synovial cysts, epidermal cyst and sebaceous cysts. Complementary examination is requested only in atypical cases or before surgery. The different types of cysts will be described in this article as well as their treatment according to their nature and localization. Differential diagnosis will also be discussed.
