Kuzularda doğum ağırlığını etkileyen faktörlerden doğum tipi ve cinsiyetin Bare-Bones META analizi ile değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Properties that characterised growth are birth weight and live weight in different periods. These properties are figured by effects of genotype and environmental factorso Birth weight has important role in both effectiveness of growth rate of lambs in periods after birth and productivity of mother. The aim of this study is, to investigate all research about effect of sex and birth type (single, twin) factors that effect the birth weight of lambs in Turkey by Bare-Bones META analysis. In this study, the data which obtain from the suitable studies according to META analysis that published between i969 and 2001 in Turkey which are concemed with growth in lambs was used. Effect size which obtain from the META analysis is tested by z-tesi. Consequently, it is determined that birth weight is more effected by male to female and single birth type to twin birth type. Also, it is determined that in the figuration of birth weight, birth type has more effective role to sex.
