Abstract

Young Chang America's Kurzweil K2000 is a sample-based synthesizer, with a 61-note keyboard that can also serve as a master MIDI controller. The sound module is 16-channel multitimbral and 24-voice polyphonic, with dynamic voice allocation. Sound sources can be modified through a programmable on-board effects processor and routed to six audio outputs. An internal floppy disk drive can be used for storing user programs, additional samples, or complete sequences, and a SCSI port for connecting to hard drives or CDROMs is built in.
