Abstract

Tolerance education is a process in which teachers teach students to accept and respect differences in society. Indonesia as a country with a diversity of community backgrounds needs a tolerance education curriculum to prepare students to deal with these differences. This study aims to describe the tolerance education curriculum in high school boarding schools, with data collected through documentation studies and interviews at Darel Azhar Islamic Boarding School in Rangkasbitung, Lebak, Banten. The results showed that the tolerance curriculum at the boarding school aims to form students who can accept differences, are good at mingling with the community, are firm in aqidah, are good at getting along without melting, and have an unemotional personality. Curriculum materials include an understanding of the diversity of beliefs, comparative religion, and the development of social skills. The pesantren also uses real experience strategies such as dormitory moves, scientific discussions, and da'wah programs to build tolerance. Debriefing programs, educational visits, and student exchanges are also used to improve understanding and tolerance skills. Evaluation is carried out on the objectives, curriculum content, learning strategies, and assessment programs to ensure conformity with the institution's vision-mission and success in achieving tolerance education goals. Abstrak Pendidikan toleransi adalah proses di mana guru mengajarkan siswa untuk menerima dan menghormati perbedaan dalam masyarakat. Indonesia sebagai negara dengan keanekaragaman latar belakang masyarakatnya membutuhkan kurikulum pendidikan toleransi untuk mempersiapkan siswa dalam menghadapi perbedaan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kurikulum pendidikan toleransi di pesantren tingkat SMA, dengan data yang dikumpulkan melalui studi dokumentasi dan wawancara di Pondok Pesantren Darel Azhar Rangkasbitung, Lebak, Banten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kurikulum toleransi di pondok pesantren tersebut bertujuan membentuk siswa yang dapat menerima perbedaan, pandai bermuamalah dengan masyarakat, teguh dalam aqidah, pandai bergaul tanpa melebur, dan memiliki kepribadian yang tidak emosional. Materi kurikulum mencakup pemahaman akan keragaman keyakinan, perbandingan agama, dan pengembangan keterampilan sosial. Pondok Pesantren juga menggunakan strategi pengalaman nyata seperti perpindahan asrama, diskusi ilmiah, dan program dakwah untuk membangun toleransi. Program pembekalan, kunjungan edukatif, dan pertukaran pelajar juga digunakan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan toleransi. Evaluasi dilakukan terhadap tujuan, isi kurikulum, strategi pembelajaran, dan program penilaian untuk memastikan kesesuaian dengan visi-misi lembaga dan keberhasilan dalam mencapai tujuan pendidikan toleransi.
