Abstract

Los Angeles Public Library and its fire, which is the subject of his eighth book as a result of his son Austin's assignment, is a spiritual bridge between the author's mother and son. The author, who is a person friendly to both library and librarian is actually paying his love for books and libraries to his mother by writing this book as a gift to her, who suffered from dementia and later sentenced to eternity, as well as a debt of loyalty on the grounds that libraries carry love, compassion, freedom and wisdom rather than buildings that contain books.
