Abstract

A list of 1595 species recorded from the area around Kétújfalu and Teklafalu (Baranya county, Hungary; 10* 10km UTM grid codes: YL09 and YL19) is given. Twenty-eight protected species (including 3 species of community interest listed in the Habitats Directive) were found. Information about some rare rare species is added. Conservation measures of the area are proposed. Two species of Staphylinidae, Cilea exilis (Boheman, 1858) and Myrmecocephalus concinnus (Erichson, 1840) are new to the fauna of Hungary.
