The first bookstore in Łancut was found in 1927 by Teresa and Alaxander Chmiel, the owners of the shop “Blawatny”, whose for it conduct hired professionally prepared Jan Kazimierz Keskiewicz. In 1934, they sold him the bookstore. He ran it on under the name of his wife Genowefa Keskiewicz, up until 1950, ie. until its nationalization. Since that time, it led the State Enterprise “House of Books”. The company took only a bookshop and stationary trade utensils.
