Abstract

Rev. Feliks Laudowicz was for 56 years a zealous pastor of the parish at Kwilicz. A hero of the times of Kulturkampf and of the period of struggle for Poland's independence, he was twice imprisoned by the Prussian authorities. Previously he worked as a missionary priest in Podlachia (Podlasie) and the Chelm Land (Ziemia Chelmska) among the faithful of the Greek Catholic Church. He is the author of two scholarly monographs: De doctrinis ad animarum Praeexistentiam atque Metempsychosin oraz Wesen und Ursprung der Lehre von der Praexistenz der Seele und von der Seelenwanderung in der griechischen Philosophie .
