Abstract

There are two types of chaos hierarchy, one comes from an increase in the map dimension, the other, from bifurcation of invariant tori. By calculating the KS entropy in each case we find that the former is only a geometric effect while the latter is a genuine chaos hierarchy accompanied by an increase in the degree of chaos.
