Abstract

The ground-state mass difference between $^{81}\mathrm{Kr}$ and $^{81}\mathrm{Br}$ was determined by a $Q$-value comparison of the $^{82}\mathrm{Kr}$(d, t)$^{81}\mathrm{Kr}$ and $^{82}\mathrm{Kr}$(d, $^{3}\mathrm{He}$)$^{81}\mathrm{Br}$ reactions. Energy resolution was optimized by using an ion-implanted target. Implications for calibration of the proposed bromine solar neutrino detector are presented.
