Abstract
The Korean Neutrino Observatory (KNO) has been proposed as the next generation neutrino detector in Korea. The main scientific goals of KNO are the discovery of CP violation in neutrino sector and the observation of cosmic neutrinos. This article gives a brief overview of neutrino physics and introduce the status and prospects of the KNO project.
