Korea Church and Layman Mission Education in the 21century

Abstract

Christian mission and Education are closely related to each other. Mission Education is Matthew28:18-20 that make disciples of all nations......and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. Korea church should need mission education for cross- cultural mission. Korea church is equipping layman motivation and activity through mission training. At the same time, Korea church is entrusted with a mission mobilization of doing education through mission school. The concept of mission education has a comprehensive meaning including both layman and missionary. In this article, I argue that mission education focuses on layman training and equipping. The contents of mission education has a variety of curriculum process and form. Above all, mission education is carrying out understanding of cross-cultural situation and worldview, mission purpose and goal, missionary attitude. I mentioned that mission education and school suggest practice methods and program in some church. First, mission education should know to focuses on mission of church understanding of layman. Second, Korea church makes mission statement in their church. Third, Korea church build up mission network with mission institution, denomination and organization. Fourth, they should do mission service and trip in short-term and long-term through mission activities. They should develop professional mission and business mission in the mission education.
