Abstract

The finite temperature Lanczos method is used to study the Kondo lattice model in a magnetic field on a finite 2D cluster. The onsite and intersite correlations, as well as the total local magnetic moment as function of field in the ground state are presented. It is shown that a small magnetic field induces inplane intersite antiferromagnetic correlations in the strong coupling limit. In contrast, in the weak coupling limit the magnetic field enhances onsite correlations.
