Abstract

Aim: The main research goal was to show the path of formation of an officer cadet in the spirit of Christian and human values, as well as cultural and intellectual values, which are faced with important and responsible tasks, which is the defense of the Homeland. Methods: The study used the method of analysis and synthesis of professional literature, the monographic-descriptive method and the analysis of statistical data. Results: The formation of every person requires care from all entities participating in the process of education and upbringing. The conducted research has shown that there is a need to conduct formation programs at all levels of military initiation. All programs should take into account the needs and capabilities of the cadet, which will guarantee him/her proper preparation to undertake responsible tasks and missions. Conclusion: Based on the considerations carried out, it is also possible to attempt to specify the answer to the question to what extent the currently conducted cadet formation meets his expectations. A modern young person exposed to various factors needs support in every area and scope of life. A properly organized form of pastoral care and a series of classes on ethics can play an important role. Originality: The formation of a young person, especially in the spiritual, i.e. ethical and moral aspect, is a very important topic that should be given a lot of attention. The fears, anxieties, concerns and threats that accompany today's young generation constitute a challenge to develop appropriate programs and take appropriate formation activities. It is important to accompany the adept in a world exposed to loneliness or loneliness. Experiencing various emotions can cause spiritual states that make you lose your sense of security.
