Abstract

Servant leadership perceptions of employees directly or indirectly affect organizational identification levels. The purpose of this study is; the relationship between servant leadership and organizational identification is examined in the tourism sector. In this context, an empirical study has been conducted with 379 occupations in the accommodation enterprises in Konya with easy sampling method from non-random sampling methods. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS Amos 21™ software. According to the research findings, servant leadership perception of the employees of the lodging enterprises has a positive and significant influence on organizational identification. It has been understood that the empowerment, a sub-dimension of the servant leadership, has a positive and significant influence on the organizational identification; the authenticity, a sub-dimension of the servant leadership, has a positive and significant influence on organizational identification; humility, a sub-dimension of the servant leadership, has a positive and significant influence on the organizational identification; stewardship, a sub-dimension of the servant leadership, has a positive and significant influence on organizational identification. Furthermore, it has also been found that the courage, a sub-dimension of the servant leadership, has a negative but significant effect on organizational identification
