Abstract
This article’s aim is to analyse the benefits of using the tools of systems thinking when the auditor is communicating the results of an internal audit to management. Auditing is seen as an independent and objective consulting activity designed to add value and improve an organization’s processes. In this framework, the system archetype is designed as a general causal loop model; based on this model, a system dynamics model of stocks and flows is then generated which is applicable for the purpose of audits of all processes of best practices of COBIT. By using the systemic approach within COBIT, the author illustrates the possibility to show a different perspective than the ones derived from traditional linear approaches which are not adequate for complete solutions to longstanding problems in the field of internal audits.

Summary
Systémové myšlení je myšlení pro pochopení, jak věci fungují. Je uměním a nástrojem vědy pro formulování spolehlivých závěrů o chování systému, založeného na hlubokém pochopení jeho základní struktury podle (Richmond, 1993). Paradigma systémového myšlení je založeno na následujícím principu: za každou událostí stojí struktury a vzory chování, které je možné zachytit prostřednictvím příčinného smyčkového diagramu. Systémové myšlení zahrnuje tři základní dovednosti, jak uvádí Richmond (1993) a je uváděno i v oblasti čs. Informatiky (Exnarová, Dalihod, Mildeová, 2011): "Cause Thinking, Closed-loop Thinking, Operational Thinking". Navazující Closed-loop Thinking, vycházející z uzavřené smyčky představuje skutečnost, kauzalita není jednosměrná, ale naopak. Které úzce souvisí s těmito dvěma dovednostmi myšlení je, že struktura systému je příčinou jeho chování achování některých struktur systému se neustále opakuje. Tyto toky a stavy jsou základem dynamických systémů (Krejčí, Kvasnička, Dömeová, 2011)
