Abstract
This article discusses the intra- and postoperative problems seen in the treatment of the acquired flatfoot deformity. In most cases a combination of several osteotomies and soft tissue procedures is necessary to correct the three dimensional deformity. The complex multi stage procedures include the risk for complications. Problems associated with will be discussed. We will address pre-, intra and postop problems and complications and how to avoid or treat them.
