Abstract

Proselytizing is an activity to invite to the path of goodness, which is identified as a purely religious activity. At this time proselytizing activities have been contaminated with products and services, where many proselytizing have been mixed between proselytizing and products or services (both through advertisements and endorsements). The purpose of this study was to find out about the commodification of religion in the proselytizing of dr. zaidul Akbar on youtube. The purpose of this study was to find out about the commodification of religion in the proselytizing of dr. zaidul Akbar on youtube. This study uses a content analysis method to use certain words, signs and symbols that can be inferred as commodification of religion. The results showed that there was a commodification process in the proselytizing of dr. Zaidul Akbar on Youtube Kata Kunci : Komodifikasi Agama, dr Zaidul Akbar, dakwah di youtube.
