Abstract
The enolates of bis(ferrocenyl)-1,3-diketones are added to coordinated ethylene, cyclohexa- and cycloheptadienyl and heptatrienyl ligands of cationic complexes to give CC coupling and formation of polynuclear compounds 1– 10 and 13– 15. Also palladium complexes of bis(ferrocenyl)-1,3-diketonates can function for these reactions. The structure of FcC(O)CH[CH 2CH 2Fc(CO) 2Cp]C(O)Fc was determined by X-ray diffraction. Threefold addition of [(η 5-C 6H 7)Fe(CO) 3] + to the ligands of Co(acac) 3 was observed.
