Abstract

In this paper an attempt is made to have a fresh look at the problem of knowledge representation as a whole. From this high-level perspective a number of issues are discussed, which are deemed of interest for the present state of the art. Motivated particularly by deductive aspects, the paper expresses a strong bias towards logic as a core formalism for representing and processing knowledge of any kind.
