Abstract

ABSTRACTUnder section 79 of the Australian Uniform Evidence Law forensic science evidence will be admissible where it is based in ‘specialised knowledge’. This article considers the way in which the concept of knowledge and its relationship with reliability is understood in the philosophical literature and in the jurisprudence on section 79.
