Abstract

Coronary artery diseases are leading causes of mortality and morbidity, which created a need for accurate early detection and treatment. Cardiac catheterization is one of the therapeutic procedure used in management of cardiac patients, where nurses play a major role in management of cardiac catheterization. The present study was aimed to assess the knowledge of nurses regarding the management of cardiac catheterization. A Descriptive survey approach was adopted to achieve the objectives of the study and Structured Knowledge Questionnaire on management of cardiac catheterization was employed to collect the data among the study participants. The findings indicated that majority of the subjects were having moderate level of knowledge regarding the management of cardiac catheterization. Hence, the investigator prepared Visual Learning Material regarding the management of cardiac catheterization, which will be effective to enhance and update the knowledge of nurses regarding the management of cardiac catheterization.
