Introduction

Adolescence is a stage of life marked by unique health and developmental needs. Marriage is a global issue with a variety of health and social implications for girls. It is a major violation of human rights. The factors that exposed a girl at risk for early marriage are poverty, the perception that marriage will provide ‘protection’, family honor, social norms, customary or religious laws that prevent early marriage's practice, an insufficient legislative structure and the state of a country’s civil registration system(2).
