Abstract

Data from a large socio-economic panel study are designed and structured in terms of logic and relational database theory. In addition to definition of data relations, integrity constraints, metadata, and data analysis, rules are derived on the basis of domain specific knowledge. With this knowledge, panel users receive assistance in panel design as well as in complex retrieval and data analysis tasks.
