Abstract

Background: Breast cancer is the most commonly presenting cancer among females and mortality rates are highest in low and middle economic countries, due to lack of knowledge and late stage diagnosis. The awareness of health care professionals about breast cancer prevention is of vital importance, since their beliefs and behaviours may have a major impact on the society. They are in a prime position to provide such education to the public due to their high knowledge regarding health and their role in healthcare.
