Abstract
Introduction: India, with 1.34 billion people is the second most populated country in the world, while china is on the top with over 1.41 billion people. Total fertility rate of India is 2.2 and the current total fertility rate of U.P is 3.72 which is still lagging behind other states like Kerela, Tamilnadu. Since the inception of program, several knowledge, attitude and practices studies have been conducted. Materials and Methods: A cross sectional descriptive study was done in department of obstetrics and gynaecology, Era’s Lucknow medical college, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
