Abstract
Covid-19 pandemic has been a serious cause of death worldwide. It is caused by a SARS-CoV-2 belonging to a family known as corona virus. The aim of this study was to assess the community knowledge, attitude and practice strategy implementation on SARS-CoV-2 disease 2019. A crosssectional survey was done from 10 February to 22 March 2022 in Surajkund Area Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Interviewer-administered questionnaire was used to collect data from 100 respondents. The majority of the respondents (82%, n = 82/100), (66%, n = 66/100), (59%, n = 59/100) knew fever, shortness of breath and dry coughing are the clinical symptoms of the disease, respectively. Vast majority of the surveyed participants of this study (87%, n = 87/100) frequently wash their hands with soap and water. COVID-19 has a great impact on the economy, politics and social interactions in the study area. Our ndings suggest that the community should practice the WHO recommendations to minimize the spread of the virus.
