Abstract

Aim: This study aims to assess the Knowledge & Attitude towards Menstruation and to identify the effect of counselling regarding Menstruation among teenage boys. Methodology: a prospective interventional study carried out among 173 samples in selected school and college of Bengaluru. The data was collected by using self-designed and validated questionnaire and responses were recorded. All information’s were processed and analysed by using Microsoft excel. Results: It was found that most of the subjects’ knowledge (pre-test average score was 3.64 and post-test average score was 5.82) towards Menstruation was found to be improved after suitable intervention. As well the attitude was also improved in post-intervention among the study subjects (pre-test average attitude score was 4.52 and post-test average score was 5.12).
