Abstract

"Impacts of climate change are even more considerable in the recent years globally and it has significant implications on hydrological cycle and water resources. In global scale, majority of the climate change adaptation and resilience efforts are concentrated on water resources and water investments. In this study, implications of climate change on water resources in Türkiye were discussed along with adaptation, resilience and mitigation studies related to water resources. In this context, state and usage of water resources around the globe and specifically in Türkiye were addressed as well as water-related problems. In addition to these, climate change adaptation and resilience activities in the context of water resources management and contributions of water investments to climate change mitigation were presented. Finally, suggestions on actions needed to enhance climate change adaptation, resilience and mitigation of water resources and ensure water, energy and food supply security in water-food-energy nexus were put forward."
