Abstract

Mucosal pemphigoid is arare chronic autoimmune disease that also affects the eyes in more than two thirds of all cases. Especially in the early phase of the ocular manifestation, the findings are subtle and the disease is often not recognized. The aim of this article is to provide the clinical aspects of ocular mucosal pemphigoid so that timely diagnostics can be initiated when this disease is suspected.
