Abstract

Observations of Near Earth Objects (NEOs) became an important part of astronomy. Meteor showers and fireballs are being monitored yearly by the Kition Planetarium and Observatory. Data are shared with observatories from other countries and the International Meteor Organization. Educational programs developed by the organization are providing attendees the skills for meteor and asteroid observations. Results of international research programs and participation in meteor and asteroid observations are widely used in public outreach. The international collaboration is described in details on the example of flyby of fireball over Cyprus on the 8th September 2016.
